I could spend large amounts of money advertise free used cat litter and create a line at my door.

When all the stories, likes, dislikes ect. come out the final analysis will be like any other product.
How many units were SOLD and what is the PROFIT in total and per unit.

I might be Googling in all the wrong places looking for actual sales of W-10 that bring income to Microsoft.

Layback bear. I believe it has something to do with the U.S. tax code reporting. I think Microsoft can count the free copies as deduction or a loss later on but I am not sure. I am not a tax expert. Any corporate tax experts on here?

Now I see... if this is true, it's like hitting two birds with one shot... they get money from ads, and from Uncle Sam... This is nasty taking in mind they are getting revenues with your PERSONAL data...

Greedy, the sin of the XXI's century...

Also Mint is great and there is Codeweavers Software Crossover https://www.codeweavers.com/products/ which may answer a large numbers of issues with must run software.
Microsoft have jumped the shark and if they do not change their ways soon they will sink and become irrelevant.
I keep getting an error 403 Access Denied message when trying to go to that link. I suspect it may be because I blocked their cookie. If so, I have no faith in their software if they can't design a website that will put up a proper error message for blocked cookies nor can I trust a site that requires its cookie to be accepted just to lurk on the site.
Yep, same here.

I have no issues following the codeweavers link. I'm using FF v41.0.2 with AdBlockPlus and Ghostery enabled. Ghostery is blocking all trackers and cookies with no restrictions in any category (advertising, analytics, beacons, privacy, and widgets). I actually don't see any cookies from codeweavers.com

Update: Just a curious note on the 403 message. Last night I was trying to access a web site (not codeweavers) and got the 403 message on several of their URLs. This was a site that I visit every day with no issues. About 30 minutes later, I was able to access all of the URLs I had been denied earlier with the same FF session. Obviously, not a cookie issue.
