You can also install Dosbox in Linux as well. It is little trickier to figure out how to mount it and the cd/dvd as well. The dosbox folder needs read/write access as well-my experience.
    I didn't know that.
It never even occurred to me to check if it could be installed in Linux.

I first installed DOSBox prior to adding a Linux partition on my PC.

The plan is quite clear now.

Keep releasing these "junk" updates until the user eventually screws up and installs them.
Shortly thereafter your PC will mysteriously upgrade itself to W10.
And IF (a mighty BIG if) that ever happens, I'll just restore to a previous image.
MS sure took the fun out of playing computer, didn't it.

I am furious. I had all this upgrade to Windows 10 crap hidden and now my 4 machines are continuing to try and download and install 10. I am so mad about this I feel like phoning the bar-stewards up and getting them to remove the spam adware virus 10 updates from my machines. That will probably be all 12 of them. **RANT**

I didn't want to have to do this but i don't see any other option at this point , i officially challenge MS to a brawl to the death using prehistoric weaponry . One of us has to die , i realize that now .

    Will wait for response

Hmmm. KB3035583 didn't show up in my updates this morning. I don't know if I should be grateful or feel slighted.

Btw, my idiot upgrade icon is still playing hide and seek with me (mostly hide).

Imagine that 3035583 is there again........ after I've manually hid it and run a pretty thorough bat.file. I'm assuming that MS will eventually re brand this and make it an important security update or simply add it into another update as they seem beyond hell bent to get everyone on 10

I just ran across this app at Majorgeeks:

Download GWX Control Panel - MajorGeeks

"GWX Control Panel will help to rid your system tray of the 'Get Windows 10' notification from continually popping up.
It can also prevent unintentional Windows 10 upgrades from occurring via Windows Update."

Does anyone have any experience with it?

Yes I installed it when it first came out and it works. I did not get any of the W10 crap this Patch Tuesday or last patch Tuesday.
