It'll be handy to install them with the ISO instead of downloading and installing them via Windows Update.

If a person does a clean install won't there be around 200 updates needed since the SP1 release (latest ISO) ?
How would this help with all the updates after SP1 and before December 2015 ?
Does this supersede a lot of these updates, so it should be installed before running Windows Update on a clean install ?

Yeah, they'll still have a ton of updates, but this ISO is mostly for making it easier to install (deploy) them on multiple systems instead of having to do so via Windows Update.

I clicked to download this ISO and see it's 3.2 GB.
Does this mean it's a Win 7 installer including ALL updates through December 2015 ?
To me 3.2 GB seems too large for just the December updates.

We cross posted at the same time :)
I'm more curious now after seeing the size of the file.

I wonder if this isn't another step in the MS desire to get everyone on Win 10, so this ISO has all the Win 10 "upgrade KB's".
I'm not sure, but i wouldn't install this until i know for sure.

The ISO only contains the security updates for Windows released on Windows Update on December 8, 2015. It's for only the KB articles listed in the first post.

They're pretty large, so I suppose the ISO could easily be that size for them.

    OK, whatever.
I installed all the December 2015 Win 7 updates, and it was not nearly 3.2 GB total download.

For anyone with limited bandwidth or slow internet, this might not be a good thing, imho.

Maybe this is the MS attempt to fix the problem where sometimes it takes hours to download updates via Windows Update.
I still question if it's a good fix for limited bandwidth or slow internet.
I'll drop it at that, i don't mean to be controversial, this thread made me wonder what's up, that's all.
