Windows 10 upgrades reportedly appearing as mandatory for some users

    I got the GWX thing early on. I killed gwx.exe and deleted the contents of folder C:/Windows/system32/GWX
    I've not been bothered since.

    So this "MS isn't going to force W!0 on us " is just baloney?

    But my GWX is still installed. Files deleted, but the update is still "installed". So it won't ask me for the same update again.

    Now ... will they shove the same update into another, newly numbered update? Maybe.
