    Windows 10 has overtaken XP

Whatever happened to all the diehards who were committed to using Windows XP forever? This ancient operating system still has some users, ranging from the British government to pirates in China. However, even on Netmarketshare's figures (above), Windows XP has now been overtaken by Windows 10.

Your average person walks in off the street and buys a PC (desktop, laptop/notebook) and it comes loaded with Windows 10. Out they walk and the Windows 10 clicks up one. These results don't surprise me.
The fact that the British Gov. is still using XP does surprise me but maybe that's on a small scale for legacy reasons.

Big whoop! The main reason Win 10 adoption figures are so high is because of the way Microsoft has been not only giving it away (sorta) but also because it has been pretty much forcing it onto computers with earlier OSes.

Yea I wonder if Microsoft will ever publish how many 7 keys they deactivated so far without the people being able to use 10.
    I don't believe 10 was ever forced
People are naturally curious and this is the click click next generation :)

It appears that those numbers do not count offline computers or ones that stay inside VPN connections or ones that stay inside corporate networks or ones that prevent connections to HitsLink Analytics (like mine does) or ones that .......

Are there a significant number of computers in those categories? How could anyone know?
