    Removed A Couple

I Found a couple installed from Callender's list and uninstalled. Will they be offered again?

No. They are "Windows Update Client" upgrades and only future versions will install automatically. The old versions can only be installed manually.

Thanks Callender, I found one from that last list you gave us so I uninstalled it.

       Note
Okay here's my list of problem WUC's to check for removal (the ones that caused problems)

KB 2990214 - Apr 2015 - WUC: enables ability to upgrade to Win10

KB 3065987 - Jul 2015 - WUC: unspecified "improvements" (replaces 3050265) adds telemetry

KB 3075851 - Aug 2015 - WUC: fixes mess due to KB3065987 [cuts down WUC memory usage, but hides Update notifications if GWX app is active] (replaces 3065987)

KB 3083324 - Sep 2015 - WUC: unspecified "improvements" (replaces 3075851) adds telemetry

KB 3083710 - Oct 2015 - WUC: unspecified "improvements" (replaces 3083324) adds telemetry

Before running the updates for my wife's laptop, I checked and found 2 of the above updates so I uninstalled both.
Unfortunately her laptop is still running the updates S-L-O-W. I think to MS this is all just a big W7 cat and mouse game.

    Lady:

Any chance you can post that list in numerical order so I can cross-check against my own list?

I don't think I've got that many items in my own list.

I've been having these naughty thoughts that I might just bend over and allow myself to be assimilated by Win 10, so I need the strength to resist.

I added those numbers as I encountered them and I've been too lazy to put them in order. When I get updates, I just run dowm the list and compare the last four digits. It goes plenty fast.

Edit: This is your lucky day, my friend. I'm killing time waiting for some epoxy to cure enough to allow trimming with a razor blade so I went ahead and put them in numerical order for you:

Thank you very much; that goes into my master file on the issue.

    You had 6 I didn't have.

I have 4 on my list as "suspect" that aren't on your list. Do your own diligence on them:

KB3112148; first seen 12/8/15; “more info” link gives error, so this is suspect

KB3118401; first seen 2/28/16; update for Universal C Runtime in Windows 10

KB3139929; hidden as of 031216; this has been discussed on this forum and is confusing.

    KB3150513; re-enables the unwanted KB3035583

    Thanks for sharing!

KB3112148 is a time zone for some countries I'll never deal with so I didn't install it. I ignore time zone updates anyway unless they are for the U.S.

KB3118401 apparently never came up for me because it isn't installed on my computer. I added it to my list anyway.

KB3139929 was installed on my computer but GWX Control Panel must have blocked the Win 10 ad. I removed it and added it to my list.

KB3150513 wasn't installed on my computer. I added it to my list anyway.
