The rollup package would take very little time on any system that's already practically up-to-date as it would only install missing updates.

Wow. By comparison my slipstreaming operation here to incorporate it into my installation DVD image is taking a long time

Yep, I was really impressed with the speed it took to install. This is as close to an SP2 as we're going to get.
I take my hat off to MS this time (which I haven't done for quite a while).

Can anyone help with the slipstreaming I outlined in my earlier post. I'm getting an unattend.xml-type error in the penultimate stage.

Prerequisites for IE11 aren't necessarily needed anymore Groze. If you install IE11 online, the installer will automatically download and install them before installing IE11.
