Anyone know if Outlook (2010) will sync with smartphones? I have an HTC Pro 2 with Windows Mobile 6.1 and it syncs wirelessly well with Outlook 2007.

Also has anyone had any type of sync issues, especially with Windows Mobile Device Center?

I'd hate to replace my 2007 Office suite with 2010 only to run into sync problems. Yeah I know it's a beta program but...

    Thanks
    Depends on the Smart Phone!
Iphone is missing the Itunes Add Ins. So Itunes is unable to make the call to Outlook to sync.

Can you configure your smart phone to sync pocket Outlook with the Exchange server instead of your desktop client? This would avoid any potential compatability issues. I suppose this is not a viable option for folks with limited mobile data plans though.

I could, but at the moment I don't have an exchange server to sync to. At any rate my data plan isn't limited. And my original question still stands as that IS an important issue with me. I use Verizon's wireless solution to keep both my Smartphone and PC Outlook synced and it works like a charm.

I was wondering if I switched over to 2010 if I would lose this functionality. My guess is yes I would.

What I’d like to try is Microsoft's Mobile Office 2010 on my Smartphone, but being that I don't have the upgraded Window's Mobile 6.5 yet (pre-requisite for 2010 mobile); I'll just have to wait till the 6.5 update is released.

Bottom line is I’ll stick with 2007 as my primary Office suite and play with 2010 on another machine.

    Thanks.

We are talking about 2010 right?

At any rate it's funny that you mention your notes option being grayed out as mine is as well under 2007? The odd thing is it was working before. I'll look into this and see what I find. By chance are you using Windows Mobile Device Center?

    Thanks

As to the question posed, we’re talking about an HTC Touch Pro 2.

    As for the iPhone…well…???
