Business Deployment of the Office Web Apps Quote: This post is for IT Professionals who may wish to host the Office Web Apps within your own organization on your own servers. As we announced earlier this morning, the Office Web Apps are now available in a public beta for our business customers to try with SharePoint 2010.
Franklin Williams, a Program Manager on the Office Web Apps team, has posted information on the Web Apps blog about how to deploy Office Web Apps on-premise on a server running Microsoft SharePoint Foundation 2010 or Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010. His post will help anyone interested in evaluating the Beta and understanding how the Office Web Apps can work inside an organization’s IT infrastructure when they are released in 2010.

As far as I know it's still a closed Beta - but with the full beta being open you may well find you can get onto the program- I think a lot of people will be going for the full beta. The Click 2 Run is only the Home/Small business version so just the basic apps.
As for running it it's exactly the same as the normal one after the initial download period - th first time you load an app it downloads it but alter that it's a normal app
The web apps are going live soon if they're not already - that's the real change | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number Real World Computing (Me + a little help from Acer) OS Windows 7 Ultimate x64 + x86 + Windows 8 x64 CPU AMD Phenom II X6 1035T 2.6 GHz Motherboard Aspire M3400 Memory 4Gb PC10600 DDR3 1333 MHz Graphics Card NVIDIA GeForce 315 512MB Sound Card OnBoard - Realtek High Definition Audio Monitor(s) Displays Philips 32" HDTV, (HDMI) + 26" TV (VGA) Screen Resolution 1920 x 1080 @60Hz + 1360 x 768 @60Hz Keyboard Microsoft Wireless 800 or Stock Acer, (depends where I sit) Mouse Microsoft Wireless 800 or Stock Acer, (depends where I sit) PSU Stock (400W) Case Acer M3400 Cooling Stock Hard Drives 500 GB Seagate ST3500418AS SATA II

The web apps are going live soon if they're not already - that's the real change I was pretty heavily involved in the C2R TP for Office 2010...I had quite a few discussions with MS Engineers on bugs I found and the sort so it has came of a bit of shock to me that I was not invited to the BETA for C2R...
Oh well..maybe they will open it up | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Compal JFT02 (Custom Build Laptop) OS Windows 7 Home Premium x64 - Mac OS X 10.6.4 x64 CPU Intel Core 2 Duo T9300 2.5 GHz Motherboard JFT02 Memory 4GB Kingston DDR2-800 Graphics Card NVIDIA Geforce 8600M GT (512MB Model) Sound Card Realtek HD Audio Monitor(s) Displays WUXGA Standard Laptop Display Screen Resolution 1680*1050 Keyboard Standard Laptop 105 Key-Keyboard Mouse Synaptics Touchpad PSU Standard Laptop Power Supply Case Standard Laptop Case Cooling Standard Laptop Cooling Hard Drives Toshiba 320GB 5400RPM Laptop HD Internet Speed Verizion Online DSL 3360/864 kbs (dl/up) |

If you were involved in the TP then you should be involved in the Beta - If you just go back into your dashboard on connect the TP entry should still be live - mine is
