Slimy your serious..
i going to have to install win7 again...
thanks for letting us know
hopefully the rc1 branch gets out soon (i mean after its baked and done....)
I have confirmed with a Microsoft employee that build 7048 does not yet exist, and that development on the RC branch has not yet started. Speculation on a new build keeps mounting as testers still have not received anything beyond build 7000. The original story is below.

Excellent news slimey!
I'm excited to try out the polished builds myself
If they really want to make a killing in market sales for this years Christmas, moving this forward as quickly as they can is really a bold (or foolish) move for M$ to reassure partners that M$ will be able to deliver RTM just in-time for the OEMs to start churning out holiday supplies to the market.
Thanks for the update Slimy, that's great news but it's a shame there has been no x64 leaks about sine build 7000, I hope someone gets one out soon.
when it says beta testers on msconnect does it mean people with the windows ecosystem thing?
I have to say they are moving fast with testing windows.
Thanks, Slimy. They're moving right along. Hope they're not moving too fast. Am looking forward to the RC build. Hope it's x64 also.

Hi, Well done, it's nice to read a bit of good news ,every now and again ,and that is, good news.
As they've gone to the RC build tag it should be that all the known Beta issues have been addressed so looks like the public RC shouldn't be too long
