I have been using the Beta 2 version and also IE8 Beta . If i had to choose between the two i would go for IE8.

I fully expect to receive death threats and be accused of being a MS fanboy for saying so, but i am just a pragmatic soul who tells it how he see's it.

    Why you........no, j/k.

A lot of people use IE and/or Firefox. I myself use both, as I find pros and cons in both.

    Hi,

I have IE, Firefox, Chrome, Safari, Opera, and Iron loaded on this machine and check out each upgrade as it is issued, But I keep returning to Firefox because it just works the way I want it to, I have a set of add-ons that I've used for some time that makes things easier for me, If others work for other people thats fine - choice is a good thing

I too love firefox (ff) ! Specially for its awesome bar which is now present in every other browser. Now if ff could be tuned so that it is not such a memory hog!

I say memory hog because just 5 tabs of light pages [meaning just plain HTML pages, no flash anywhere, but some images] and with just one addon [Forcastfox - just can't live without it!] ff has a private working set of 93,124 KBytes (90.9 MB).

Also, would love it if ff improved its compatibility because some sites which are designed for IE 6 screw up on positioning when in ff. For example: www.mu.ac.in - The Mumbai University website.

But nothing beats the simplicity that ff brings to the table!

I'm down to Chrome and FF exclusively. IE used to be the browser that used to render everything and now it's like its at war with itself.

I'm gonna hold off judgment till I use a RTM version because beta's and RC have left me unimpressed.

Can't wait to see FF 3.1! Didn't see anything related to a possible timeline in the ARS article, though. ?
