Google Chrome Goes to, Still Doesn't Play Nice with Windows 7

The Google browser is evolving at fast pace, and this week Chrome was updated to version A developer release, Google Chrome comes in less than a week since the previous version was made available offering not only new features, but also fixes for bugs that survived Build However, the latest variant of Google Chrome still has problems when it comes down to playing nice with the Beta release of Windows 7.

“Windows 7 users will experience issues importing favorites from IE and setting Chrome as the default browser,” revealed Anthony Laforge, PMP, Chrome program manager, when enumerating the known issues of the release. With Microsoft boasting millions of installations of Windows 7 Beta, Google will have to step up its game and tailor its browser to the next iteration of the Windows client, even if to the pre-release builds of the platform.

At the same time, whatever issues Chrome has integrating with the 32-bit version of Windows 7 Beta Build 7000, the 64-bit flavor of the operating system manages to top. And it looks like Google will still be a while before making Chrome integrate seamlessly with Windows 7. Still, the Mountain View-search giant is making consistent headway in the development of Chrome 2.0, having added a variety of new features.

Dual boot XP Pro and Seven/7127

This post caught me eye.
I use W7 x32.
I use FF and Google Chrome 2.0.166.

I still have FF as default browser.
And I haven't needed to import favorites from IE - I don't use IE so there are no favourites

Maybe that's why Google Chrome 2.0.166 works for me
I am happy with it and W7.

Vista H.P. SP1 x32 Seven RC x64

Second time I test Chrome.
Look nice and perform well on Seven but there's lot of missing things for me (antipub filter and mouse gesture, etc. )

Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows XP Pro & Tablet, OS X

What are the issues with Windows 7 and Chrome? I've been using Chrome ( with Windows 7 (7000) for some time now and I've never had an issue. Internet Explorer 8 on the other hand crashes often.

arcking this has to do with 64 bit OS and the way chrome handles at the beginning (you know at startup...)...
if you do a search here you can see one of the problems people have faced with 64bit and chrome
