LOL. Seriously I find it weird that Google would lose things like that. (Or Microsoft lose Nottingham), do they know about it?

    Hi Peter,

There is a lot of data to check and I suppose it's going to happen occasionally. Not sre if Google have a feedback option will have a look and if so send them the images I posted. I assume it's not location based, could be a glitch on the server I use for Google earth.

As for the Nottingham incident MS did not correct it for some time - the next release If I recall correctly. The actual detail was there on the map but the name was missing from the database, so did not show on the map or in the searches. I was commuting back and for to Nottingham for work at the time so added a personal bookmark to get around it

Yes, good luck finding how to contact Google, and if you do, good luck on ever getting a reply.

I just tried my Google Earth and it has the same problem. Apparently the islands have now sunk but the towns have remained afloat as you'll see from the attached.

    Hi peter,

Amazingly enough Google has a feedback link on their Help pages on line - have sent feedback - Must be the Beta Tester in me .

Am now off to visit my Mum - will do a route on Google - so if i'm not on line for a while they've probably sent me via Timbuktu or somewhere

That's good, I didn't realise they had a link. Now about your visit to your Mum. If you see a circular shimmering pool of light in front of you, do NOT proceed..........
    He, he.
