You can run the setup for x64 from an x86 build but you cannot Upgrade the x86 build you have to install a fresh x64 installation
It includes and will install the x86 version? Confused.

He means you can use the setup.exe file in an x86 install but you will only be allowed to do a full install, not an upgrade.

You flat out can not switch from x86 to x64 or vice-versa without formatting.

I must be an idiot. I'm unable to burn a working disk. I used the details below to burn it with imgburn, but I guess I'm having trouble with the boot image file. I tried using the etfsboot.com file, and the bootfix.bin files with no luck. Any help?

- start imgburn

- write files/folders to disc

- source = windows vista folder (boot, efi, sources, support, upgrade folders, bootmgr file)
- options: file_system = iso9660+joilet
- advanced.restrictions.iso9660: folder_file_name_length = level 1
- advanced.restrictions.iso9660: character_set = standart
- advanced.restrictions.iso9660: allow_more_than_8_directory_levels = true
- advanced.restrictions.iso9660: allow_more_than_255_characters_in_path = true
- advanced.restrictions.iso9660: allow_files_without_extensions = true
- advanced.restrictions.iso9660: don't_add_version_number_to_files = true
- advanced.restrictions.joilet: folder_file_name_length = level x
- advanced.restrictions.joilet: allow_files_without_extensions = true
- advanced.bootable_disc: make_image_bootable = true
- advanced.bootable_disc: emulation_type = none (custom)
- advanced.bootable_disc: boot_image = vista\boot\etfsboot.com
- advanced.bootable_disc: sectors_to_load = 4

- build

I took a nap.....

My download finished. I am creating a bootable ISO and breaking it into files, putting it on DepositFiles. My ISO will be pristine from the original seeder.

I will continue to seed all night long....all night....all night long.....
