Why don't you just click setup.exe? geez.

Some of you really don't seem like you are qualified to use beta software.

Hi,

If you would rather make a bootable .iso ( instead of running the setup.exe file that is part of the download )

[For a bootable usb drive , see this:

USB Bootable Vista Installation Flash Thumb Drive - Vista Forums ]

To make a bootable .iso, use vlite.

vlite v1.2 requires you to also download WAIK.

vlite v1.1.6 does not require WAIK.

1. Rt click vlite.exe and Run as Admin. Click Install Wimfilter.

2.Click Browse and browse to Windows o/s folder, GB1.. ( Vista is in the pic, but it's the same with7). It takes a few seconds to load the files - then click Next.

3. Tick Bootable iso and Next

(make sure it says Create Image - should do by default )

4.Click Make iso

5. Select where to Save the iso

After you click the Save button, vlite starts making the .iso

6. When done , click Next

7. Either put dvd r in and select Burn Image, or click Exit (it says are you sure, say Yes) - the .iso is where you put it .

Hope it helps

Problem is either folk aren't used to just clicking setup.exe and updating the OS and are use to booting it, and they don't understand how the ISO works.

Have patient for x86 then, or just don't go drooling over every build. To be honest with you all complaining, be thankful this was even released, he didn't have to do it, but he did, so deal with there being little problems here and there.

Doesn't matter, just click setup.exe and it will let you do a clean install of 7048 x64. Obviously you wanted a clean install or you wouldn't have downloaded a 64bit build to update a 32bit OS, which is not possible. So yeah... I win.
