like ebartolon said it wont increase your ram but it will move 4k ramdom reads and writes from the pagefile on the HDD (slow) to the (which is really a cache file) ready boost flashdrive (which is faster)
but since its only 4k reads and writes you only see the performance if you have less than 1.5 gb of ram...

So do we get a notification from Microsoft to say these builds are ready or do they get downloaded by windows updates, or do we go hunting ourselves?

if you are not a "special" member of Connect and havent gotten a beta refresh email then you are going to go hunting...
