Thanks Dwarf,
Looks like they may be getting the idea - The EU that is,
RANT ALERT
And as for the comments on MS's business model - that is the only way to run any business - you dominate your market then you use your domination to make lots of money. It is different if you're some form of QANGO like the EU but any business that does not seek to remove opposition is missing the point. I'm not saying that this is the best thing for the consumer but a business, to be sucsessful, must be selfish

What's the EU commission except a "Gravy Train" for those who work for it.
Look at the stupidity with Sports coverage -- I like Football (the proper kind using a Round ball which players actually kick -- not one of those funny shaped squashed rugby balls where players try and grab it wearing padding looking like the michelin man).
When I'm in England I can't even see their national team play because it's on an IRISH PAY TV channel (SETANTA)
For Deity's sake what other country would allow their National Game to be only shown on a FOREIGN TV channel.
Also SKY TV can't show as many matches either. This is because the EU don't like a successful organisation like SKY being allowed to bid for all the rights --so most consumers would have to pay MORE to watch the same number of matches as last year and have to have 2 subscriptions. (One to that Horrible SETANTA channel).
So all the EU has done is allow a really ****ty broadcaster to charge consumers EXTRA to view an inferior product --whatever one might think of SKY TV the quality of their footie broadcasts is usually pretty good.
Getting back to Microsoft however.
I think Microsoft should go and tell the EU to "Go fly a kite" and that goes for all the EU commissions sleazebag scummy DRM supporting lawyers as well.
Than goodness SETANTA is getting into financial difficulties and won't be able to have so many matches next year.
If you believe the EU is good for consumers --think again. Try "The Champagne Bar" in London's St Pancras Station when the Eurocrats are leaving / arriving for / to Brussels on the Eurostar train. The amount of expensive champagne sloshing around is almost unreal. -- Nice to see where the taxpayers money is going.
Cheers
jimbo
