Like wzor is posting since build 7070 "possible RC-escrow", i mean does he know what "escrow" stands for? (well i assume he does, but he just wants more traffic).
Just a interim build which falls under the RC releases. My point. Don't think MS is going to make 18 RCs to address each bug.

Those would be the prerelease RC builds without being specified as RC1 or RC2. Once 7 has reached the actual point for that then you will hear the word on which number is actually designated the RC1. We''ll know which one soon ebough however with one build scheduled for the end of next week.

I am guessing on 7083 myself...with 7200 being the RTM whenever it goes gold.

There's one blog that seems to fit the bill about preguessing things before anything actually goes into escrow. James O'Neill's blog : Windows 7 release candidate…

You'll note that was seen in late February-beginning of March there by the mention of 6 weels when pointing the 4/10 date. It's actually kind of hard to tell anyways since some numbers will be tossed out there before anything is seen. Last week it was the 7086 leak?! har! har! obviously intended for the 4/1 joke.

maybe and most likely it has been mentioned before, but Gues Mode has been removed from this build. that's a major bummer, since I had a great use for this feature. I hope the removal is not permanent. too bad I found out the hard way. if I had known earlier, I would've never left 7057.

Do you mean the Guest Account? I think it was removed from 7057; the Guest Account now reads "standard".

nope, this is what I really mean:

Windows 7's Guest Mode (formerly PC Safeguard).

not to be confused with Guest Account.

The Standard User option now seen replaces the need for the Guest Mode. Read the description shown.

Instead of being a separate sdk pack you downloaded separately they are still working to incorporate that in 7 seeing it go through a few changes.

That's indeed definitely Norton, and especially their own recent build update impacting both NIS and 360. You may encounter issues on 7057, too, if they start silently pushing the updated build to you there as well.

Anyway, it's not 7068 that's a dud. It's Norton not watching compatibility with anything other than the official releases, if even that. The boot to black screen is most definitely Norton.
