Ay suggestions as to where to get the best price, and I guess Home Premium is fine for a non-big business user? Looks like I might as well get out the money.

I dont think that is a decision to be afraid of... either you want to upgrade (if you can afford it) or you dont....

Is there any option to simply buy a new product ID, and change the one the RC has to a permanat one. I notice there is an option to change it. What is that for if not for what I am asking?
Thanks,
Bill

You cant do an inplace upgrade from RC to RTM... you will need to get a retail/OEM disc and install from there... sorry, thats just the way it is....

FYI

I am going to reinstall XP Pro, and Office XP, revert back to my old ways, and be done with it. Windows 7 is just not worth all the hassel. I should have known, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Buying a laptop on ebay is risky business.
Thanks,
Bill

It's your choice ,man!! If you wan't it ,and you can afford it ,Home Premium is enough for you!
What hassel?
All you have to do is to create backup of your files ,save them to external hdd or DVD-s ,and after you get Windows 7 and make clean install ,just restore them to your PC.
Of course ,you will have to install all your programs again ,but that's the price!
