I would presume (and i've had a couple too LOL) that Microsoft would carry on the 70xx builds and the 1 that behaves as they want (99% perfect) would be 'upgraded' to 71xx RTM. Only my oppinion

I think MS makes paralell builds, one group is on the 70xx the other is on 71xx builds of Windows 7.

If that were the case would we not see 71xx builds leaked?

Because the people involved in the 71xx branch may not be as dis-loyal and fame hungry as the other pretty much random testers/companies that leak the builds we have been getting. JMO

I would personally not be at all surprised to see the RC public release marked as 7100. This would follow the way that things were with the Beta, where the build was 7000 although by the time of release there were later build in the 70xx branch already complied

As i see it (though this could be totally wrong and is only my personal drunk opinion), 7077 seems to of just been leaked, i think the rc will be 7100, and i think 7105 is either an internal rtm candidate or totally fake (well at least the screenshot)...

Can we all please CALM DOWN. Until the RC of W7 is officially released, we won't know the build number. It is all speculation at the moment.
