Windows 7: Could (and should) Microsoft buy Twitter?

Well in all honesty, Twitter and Facebook have been on the rise. Various companies are using these resources as a means to interact with the public. For example, did anyone know that Xbox Support has a Twitter account for those too lazy to call those outsourced customer support employees, who hardly speak english? That is amazing to me, I can now say I have seen it all. While Twitter is a seemingly basic system, it has garnered a LOT of attention. Celebrities are using them to interact with their fans, and cable networks offer 24/7 program updates. It would be a wise investment, or it could end up being extremely fatal. They should focus on their upcoming and newly released projects before thinking about getting involved with a new venture.

I hate the social networks. So, that has a weight on what I'll be saying...

Can Microsoft buy Twitter? Yes, I'm pretty sure they can buy it.
Should Microsoft buy Twitter? No because I fear that if they buy they'll integrate it to the Windows Live service which I only use for chatting and e-mails. Also, I have this philosophy that if someone calls me at home and that I do not answer, they just have to try to call later. I'm not at home that's it, that's all. That is why I :
1. don't have a cellphone/smart phone (Yes, yes, you read well).
2. don't use microblugging (Twitter). I don't want people around the globe to know what I'm doing.

That said, if Microsoft buy Twitter, that could mean that I'll stop to use their service because they'll probably want to integrate it to their other services.

Do we really need Twitter?
We hear so much lately of the trouble and distress caused by people abusing others on Twitter that I wonder if it is, in fact, more trouble then it is worth. I don't use it myself as I think it is a time waster but that is just my view and I know it is not shared by all! What's your view on it's...
