    9 changes from Win 7 7068 to 7077

    Posted: 10 Apr 2009
So yesterday Build 7077 became available, and I installed it last night. The change between 7068 and 7077 in numbers is 9, so I tried to find 9 changes between these two releases. Not only I succeeded in finding 9 changes (the changes are below), but I also found one new bug, that wasn’t there before.

Also, one minor thing is that the stamp on desktop is much shorter. That only proves that Windows 7 is approaching Release Candidate.

I skimmed through the list and noticed that 1, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9 are all wrong. I have 7068 installed so I really don't know what this guy is going on about.

That's funny...I was thinking the same thing. I don't know what he's talking about. I checked them too. There are none of those changes. The "show desktop" could have something to do with his display settings but......looks like he's wrong.

I have to agree some of his 'changes' are not quite what he says or finds.

Maybe the guy's been sleeping..take for example the sound schemes, those have been there since 7048.

I am still running 7057, lol, what are the "main" real differences would you say from 7057 to 7077 ?

Appart from a couple of cosmetic changes, there's a lot more hardware device drivers & much better stability.

It will all be mainly performance and stability related from here on in. Most of the cosmetic changes Have taken place between 6801 and 7057 because since then there have been no visual differences and better compatability/stability/performance increases. Its time for a different type of test and feedback.

Exactly right! With the RC Escrow the code is pretty much set in stone and all that happens from hereon out is fixing bugs and other minor problems.
