Musicans are way over payed anyway... how can a doctor go to school for 8 years and come out lucky to make 6 figures and someone that naturally can sing or even just has parents that could sing are making millions. Bottom line thats just not right, i dont have sympathy for either party.
That is called the free market. People make choices about how the wish to spend their earnings. If the public quit buying music, the earnings of musicians would come down, period. I don't begrudge the financial success of a musician, athlete, entertainer, etc. If one wished to make that kind of money, one should get off his/her butt, learn, train, and practice.

I was aiming more at who decides the % they get and cost of the product not the musicans themselves.

As a full blown atheist - tongue in cheek.

However, religion and all the other theists aside, stealing is stealing no matter how you want to colour it. Even a little bit is still stealing.

I'll say it again shall I?

Unless it is done on a commercial scale ie for profit then it is civil law and thus cannot be deemed as theft.

By the way I buy my stuff but not agree with the business side of it and how they want to monopolise it, that's my only issue!

Either way laws are laws and i follow them. I just disagree with them.

Although iv been told by an outside source that the ISP's in my area dont monitor this type of thing as of now. Theres 3 Universities in the small town i live in so i dont know how well that would go over for the ISP's if they were forced to turn these people in. Considering the college kids make up a large part of there business, and we all know college kids dont pirate :)

Blame the music industry for failing to adapt to, and poo-pooing, the emerging internet phenomenon while concentrating on little plastic discs and sending threatening letters to teens.

Music's distribution has evolved and the dinosaurs (majors) are facing extinction. You lot can choose to ignore it and die out, or to change how you do things and survive. It's that simple. Your business models need to change.
Music is art. Music must be shared for what it is. Software-wise, it's a whole other story though...

Walk into your local music store and try take some CDs, then when the cops show up and arrest you, try telling them that

Sugar coat it how you like, Its still thieving, you will still get arrested, you will still get charged with theft and you will still get fined.

This is all so screwed up man.
It doesn't even protect the copyright of anything I develop, create or release thats copyrighted, just the corporations copyright.
    You changed your tune!

oh I forgot your part of "the team".

We are not on about walking in stores and stealing though are we? We are on about COPYRIGHT INFRINGMENT which unless done commercially falls under civil law not criminal law therefore can not be classed as theft(by UK law). Don't you get it?

Have you never recorded nothing no? If you have does that make you a thief?

Just because I don't agree with the cooperation side of it doesn't make me a thief does it?

Also, when you say you is it me you refer to or?
