    All criminals
Try to justify and rationilize their crimes.
    Yes it is a law
    Yes you are violating it
You obviously don't know what a criminal is then do you. Or maybe your a criminal psychologist because you seem to think all criminals justify and rationalize. How do you know they all do it. Do you know a lot? Smoking in a public place is a law and if you violate it does that then make you a criminal? Exactly.

All that is going to happen is that they go to jail. PB increases in user base and revenue from people buying there merchendise to 'show support' and then they will come out richer and more famous then they are now. And what will happen to file sharing in the meantime? Nothing. The industry i personally fails to see the long term implications in all of this. Soon enough the USA will want to control the net ( no offence intended) they are allready starting so whats next?

It's the music and film industries who are the criminals if we are branding people. The film industry has just had it's best ever year so sharing is not having the impact they tell it to be. They are just legal mafias who bully people into their way of wanting, for self indulgence purposes. It is USA again trying to force it's laws upon the world for the greed of money yet again. Its a good job the courts did find in their favour otherwisw I'm sure Sweden could've expected of few exocets come flying on through.

That is not to be taken by any citizen of the usa in to any personal attack. I treat an individual how I expect to be treated but you gotta agree it is madness trying to force laws upon other countries!

I would if them be screaming in court "what about the other million warez/torrent sites, i can give you urls!" lol

IE: its not fair to arrest one person for pi**ing in the street and let the next one go. Whats the deal with that??

Sure there are many people who pirate movies/music ect. because they dont want to pay for it, what about the people who cant afford it? Want to try it before they buy it? Have a legit copy and the disk is scratched or other?

What about all the LEGAL stuff on those sites? There are many factors involved and they arnt all bad.

MPAA and RIAA are radicals in the opposite view imo (cases where they sue kids, fake sites to honey trap people, right.) They need to come at the problem by different means imo.

Let me add, its a shame great sites like TPB are having to go through all this trouble...

Please tell me why downloading from a torrent is not criminal
If stealing the same thing from a retail store is.

Just justifying your thievery by using the Internet
All you criminals do, is to make honest people pay more.

Steal physical material and digital are all on a different level, so different views, people ethics are different. What is stealing exactly? When you take something from someone else and they are left with nothing?

Digital material is copying. Or stealing from the industries? Is it criminal to go to a friends house and watch a video you didnt pay for? What so different than sharing that video to your friend so he can watch it? Is it because hes your friend that makes it not seem so bad? Take to mind all the reasons for sharing i posted above, im sure there are more.

There are many opinions on what stealing is, and where the line is drawn when it comes to the law. Thats probably why this topic is so controversial.
