I'm trying to decide if I should wait till 5 comes out, or buy a copy of 4. What sort of improvements should I expect to see in 5?

It wasn't that long ago that they came out with their Master Collection. Why the update so fast is what I'm wondering. Gee, you buy one version, and a few months later it's outdated. Thanks Adobe!

Hmm, about time for a new computer, upgrade to PS CS5 and Lightroom 3 maybe?

    Soooo tempting.

Still gonna wait atleast till I see if CS5-64bit runs any better on W7 than CS4-64bit. I never had any problems with CS3-32bit on W7 but I am constantly running out of ram. If there was ever a desktop app that needed to be 64-bit...

Wasn't Creative Suite 4 (which is essentially master collection I believe.. likely wrong) released in September of 2008?

Either way. You buy a product, don't expect the makers to hold off making better versions of it for a bit. I'd rather see a company updating its products frequently then hardly updating them at all.

Besides, no one forces you to buy the latest. If your happy with your version then stick with it.

Watched several videos on Photoshop CS5, and must say was impressed. Albeit at the cost; somewhere around $700.00 to $900.00 (USD) it will be sometime before I break down and replace CS4 which is only about sixteen months old.
