I'm trying to decide if I should wait till 5 comes out, or buy a copy of 4. It wasn't that long ago that they came out with their Master Collection. Why the update so fast is what I'm wondering. Gee, you buy one version, and a few months later it's outdated. Hmm, about time for a new computer, upgrade to PS CS5 and Lightroom 3 maybe?
Soooo tempting.
Still gonna wait atleast till I see if CS5-64bit runs any better on Windows 7 than CS4-64bit. I never had any problems with CS3-32bit on Windows 7 but I am constantly running out of ram. If there was ever a desktop app that needed to be 64-bit... | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Scratch built OS Windows 7 x64 Ultimate CPU i7 960 Motherboard Asus P6X58D Memory 12 Gig Corsair Dominator Graphics Card Nvidia 480 Sound Card Maudio Delta 44 + breakout box Monitor(s) Displays Dell UltraSharp U2410 24in and Samsung 21 dual monitors Screen Resolution 1920x1200 and 1280x1024 Keyboard Logitech G15 + N52 game pad Mouse Logitech MX518 PSU Corasair TX850 Case Cooler Master HAF Cooling Corsair H50 Hard Drives Primary: Intel X-25M G2 160G SSD

Either way. You buy a product, don't expect the makers to hold off making better versions of it for a bit. I'd rather see a company updating its products frequently then hardly updating them at all.
Besides, no one forces you to buy the latest. If your happy with your version then stick with it. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom | Whitebox OS Windows 7 Ultimate, OS X 10.7, Ubuntu 11.04 CPU Intel E6750 @ 3.80GHz Motherboard Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3L (Revision 1.1) Memory 2x2GB & 2x1GB (6GB) OCZ Reaper 1066MHz @ 1080MHz Graphics Card EVGA nVidia GTX 260 896mb (216 Core) FTW Edition Sound Card Realtek ALC888 Monitor(s) Displays 21" VIZIO TV Screen Resolution 1680x1050 @ 60Hz Keyboard Logitech Wireless S520 Mouse Logitech Wireless S520 - Microsoft Wireless Arc Mouse PSU Corsair 750W Case NZXT Nemesis Elite Cooling Thermaltake SpinQ Hard Drives Western Digital WD6401AALS - 640GB

Watched several videos on Photoshop CS5, and must say was impressed. Albeit at the cost; somewhere around $700.00 to $900.00 (USD) it will be sometime before I break down and replace CS4 which is only about sixteen months old. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number HP Pavilion a4302f OS Win 7 Pro x64, VM Win XP, Win7 Pro Sandbox, Kubuntu 11 CPU AMD Athlon(tm) II X4 640 @ 3.0 Gbz Memory 12GB 1066MHz DDR3 SDRAM - 2x4GB, 2x2GB Graphics Card ATI Radeon HD 4350 HD Graphics/Audio with 512MB Sound Card Realtek High Definition Audio Monitor(s) Displays 1.
