we need this out in the wild before may 5 to avoid the feeding friendzy we had with the beta when the suckers from neowin hammered on ms door too hard.

i hope they keep 'send feedback' for this one so we submit all the bits that need polish before rtm/winmain. i want it so shiney i can see my face in it. i just cant wait.
Well, keep in mind it's a release candidate. They put it out there for us to test, so I bet there will be "Send Feedback" buttons. Hopefully, we won't have to use them to report problems, but I bet it will still be there.

Build 7000 was out weeks before the public release yet it still happened.

I think it was more that people wanted keys...

Unless the keys change (which i don't think will happen) it may not be as bad trying to download the RC on public day this time around :)

In the home page on the right side there's a link for the concierge.:) An TechNet Plus sub has this option too.

That is because the bits for Beta1 were signed off by MS a full month before "public" release.
This current situation is pretty close to the Beta1 signoff. Give it a day or two, maybe even a 5 day wait, but it will leak soon enough.

However, the actual build number that is available for download to the OEM's has yet to be disclosed (the prior pic early on in this thread, in my eyes, is far to small for the actual window that is displayed within the OS itself) officially, so I would not take stock in RC being build 7200. 50/50 chance I am right on this.

Yes i understand this, we were just talking about the amount of server problems they had on the last public download day :)

I think the RC will be 7100, JMO.
