Oh, I'm not going for any more interim leaks. I'm happy with 7077. I'll be getting an official RC copy once it's available.
    You got that one correct!

so once RC is released, are there going to be RTM leaks?

just curious, never followed an OS like this before so don't really know how it works
There may and then there may not be any seen once the RC is out. Once available everyone will be busy going for it rather then taking chances on any polluted RC leaks later! Right after the 2/12 date people started finding out the hard way with some of the leaks tried out just to see 7 go on.

Well, I'm going to bed. I need to go to work tomorrow since I have been sick and working from home for two weeks now.

If 7100 or 7115 leaks, someone send me a PM and I will get notified. :) Thanks.

First anything leaking out now will need a "clean bill of health" before the early part of May. I just the 7077 in Italian as the latest one seen if real?

On the neowin site I have just found something interesting on this topic which I am presenting as it is:

"Company insiders and Wzor have confirmed that 7100 is the official Windows 7 RC build.

7100.0.winmain_win7rc.090421-1700 was compiled on Tuesday and has reportedly been handed out to OEM partners and TAP gold customers. Earlier this month we reported that build 7077 had leaked online and that Microsoft were pushing towards a 7100 RC release.

Microsoft recently published details about a public RC due for May 5th. We expect MSDN/TechNet customers to receive the bits within the next week.

According to reports, 7115.0.winmain.090421-1650 is the latest build internally at the time of writing."

Windows 7 Release Candidate (RC) Build 7100 Already Signed Off - 7100.0.winmain_win7rc .090421-1700 - Softpedia

Microsoft is making headway with the development of Windows 7 and closing on the availability of the first and only Release Candidate of the operating system. In this regard, the Redmond company has reportedly already signed off on Windows 7 RC. 7100.0.winmain_win7rc.090421-1700 is the full version of the Release Candidate bits for the next iteration of Windows. Microsoft has of course offered no official confirmation on the build string for Windows 7 RC Build 7100. The Redmond company has also not commented on self-leaked information that it has already made Windows 7 RC Build 7100 available to partners, and that MSDN and TechNet subscribers would be receiving the green light for downloads by the end of April with the public release planned for the first week in May.

The last pre-RC build of Windows 7 to make it into the wild was tagged 7077. The Release was indicated as the RC-Escrow build, again with Microsoft mum on the matter. Subsequently information and screenshots on Windows 7 Build 7082 were leaked. Wzor indicated that Microsoft had been hard at work, making its way toward Windows 7 RC Build 7100, having compiled the following development milestones: 6.1.7078.0.winmain_win7rc.090406-1758, 6.1.7079.0.winmain_ win7rc.090407- 1902, 6.1.7080.0.winmain_ win7rc.090408- 1900, 6.1.7081.0.winmain_ win7rc.090409- 1900, 6.1.7082.0.winmain_ win7rc.090410- 1901, 6.1.7083.0.winmain_ win7rc.090413- 1900, 6.1.7084.0.winmain_ win7rc.090414- 1900, 6.1.7085.0.winmain_ win7rc.090415- 1900, 6.1.7086.0.winmain_ win7rc.090416- 1900, and 6.1.7087.0.winmain_ win7rc.090417- 1900.

Windows 7 RC Build 7100.0.winmain_win7rc .090421-1700 was signed off on April 21, 2009, according to the version number. The software giant is looking to offer the bits via MSDN and TechNet by the end of this month. At the same time, Microsoft pointed to May 5, 2009 as the deadline for the availability of Windows 7 RC. Along with the Windows 7 client, the software giant will also serve Windows Server 2008 R2 RC. Of course, with Microsoft offering nothing on Windows 7 RC through the company's official channels, all leaked information should be taken with a grain of salt.

    Here we go again.

"I've herad May 5th, but I'm guessing sometime between May 11 - 15th - when Microsoft will be having their annual Tech Ed shindig in Los Angeles. It would tend to make sense - given Microsoft released the M3 pre Beta build at the PDC in October and the Beta during CES in January. Tech Ed would give them a good platform to show it all off and announce the RC's release." unspecified source

The above was also not aware of several other articles popping up along with the Sofpedia and neowin blogs. http://www.ihackintosh.com/2009/04/w...al-rc-release/

"Now its clear that Build 7100 is the official Windows 7 RC (Release Candidate) build. Neowin is reporting that Microsoft has provided this RC build to OEM partners and TAP gold customers.
RC build 7100.0.winmain_win7rc.090421-1700 was compiled on Tuesday.
MSDN and TechNet subscribers are expected to receive this build within next week where as the Public release might happen on 5th May." http://www.*****.com/official-window...old-customers/
