Windows 7 Release Candidate now available for unsanctioned download

per mary Jo Foley on ZDNet:

excerpt: From the “that didn’t take long” files: The Windows 7 Release Candidate (RC) test build is available for download if you don’t mind grabbing it from (as blogger Long Zheng euphemistically describes it) “your favorite ‘content hub.’”

Go test drive Windows 7 RC (7100) today

    per Long Zheng:

excerpt: If you’re like me and watched from a distance leaked builds of Windows 7 fly past like water balloons in a water balloon fight, then the time to join the fun is now. The highly anticipated release candidate (RC) build of Windows 7 has been leaked and its authenticity is entirely undisputed. First looks reveal nothing significantly new or different, but if you’ve been wanting to get a vibe of how far Windows 7 has come since the public beta, especially performance, this is the build to get.
Downloading the usenet version now. Probably won't get a chance to play with it til tomorrow night.

i notice one ittttty bittttty difference in reference to that screenshot and 7000... dont know about others... its the volume taskbar button/icon, only has ONE sound wave in front of the speaker (7100) while the one in 7000 has 3.....

could this be a big improvement/enhancement?
