I'm sure anyone smart enough to be a tech blogger was smart enough to back up his work somewhere else besides the cloud...don't you think?
Microsoft appears to have accidentally deleted six years of blog archives hosted on its free Windows Live Spaces platform belonging to Australian mobile technology evangelist Shane Williamson.

Just think about when everyone goes on the "cloud." Ooops, we accidentally deleted all your work...
IMO I think that Microsoft have stuffed things up with this new operating system going cloud, if they have problems like this already imagine how many law suits they would get if they lost their personal information online.
call me paranoid, but i am really not looking forward to the day that the OS goes fully to the cloud,
especially if files and personal data are also stored in the cloud, i can see 2 things happening:
1) a hell of a lot of server space is going to be needed to store peoples junk, this is why i dont think it will actually happen, and documents and such will still be stored locally
2) if they are stored in the cloud, then MS might as well hold up a big Ol' sign saying "Hackers come here"
And this stuff wasn't backed up? Surely not!
