Paul Thurrott is predicting earlier than April 22 so I guess we'll just have to wait and see when it hits MSDN/TechNet.
I'm sure its mentioned elsewhere but it doesn't hurt to add again -- If you are located on the East Coast, you can learn more about Office 2010 during the Get On the Bus Tour during its 10-city road tour to the East Coast toward New Orleans and Tech-Ed 2010. The sessions are free and will include dive deep into both Windows 7 and Office 2010. If the bus won’t be stopping near you, there are opportunities available for IT Pros and Developers at 2010 Launch Events.
It would be nice if they gave away Office 2010 discs at the launch events like they did with Win 7 at the Win 7 launch events.
The above site is working half ok for me right now.
