The Microsoft Touch Pack for Windows 7 was first introduced last May as a series of 6 applications that are designed to showcase Windows Touch in Windows 7 and to help people learn touch gestures. It consists of 3 casual games, and 3 Microsoft Surface applications that have been created for Windows 7.

Until today, the Microsoft Touch Pack for Windows 7 was only available for OEMs to put on new Windows 7 PCs capable of Windows Touch. Due to feedback and requests from both partners and customers, we are releasing the Microsoft Touch Pack for Windows 7 for anyone with Windows Touch capable devices to download.

Download: Microsoft Touch Pack for Windows 7

If you have a Windows 7 PC or a multitouch monitor that supports Windows Touch in Windows 7, the Touch Pack for Windows 7 is a good way for you to be able to truly test the multitouch investments we’ve made in Windows 7.

For more information on the Microsoft Touch Pack or Windows 7, see this blog post.

I have searched but dont seem to find out?

Maybe could you try this:

For any windows 7 non multitouch laptop computer:
http://multitouchvista.codeplex.com/

It can help you to use a mouse device and the touchpad as separate touch inputs, simulating multitouch.

I've successfully install the driver on a win7 x64 (also have a x32).:)

I've also the ".net Framework 4.0" installed and only the "visual studio redistribuable package 2010" (I can't create Apps but i can use the "MultitouchVista" with the mice & the touchpad)

I installed the Microsoft Touch Pack for Windows 7 on my MSI AA1511-001US (barebones AE2020) All-In-One with its optical multi-touch screen. It's a nice demonstration of what multi-touch is about. My 13 year-old granddaughter took to it naturally; "It's a big iPhone or iPad.", she said. Real touch enabled applications work smoother than ones that take the touch interface to be the mouse. Even the touch enabled IE8 can be pretty wild when you use it that way. It's going to take me a little getting used to. Some things just happen too quickly. I think I need a training wheels mode for working with photographs. It takes a split second and the wrong flick of a finger to spin out of control. Luckily, there is undo. :D

One of the main reasons I got this MSI AIO was to learn and understand how to use a multi-touch interface. Like anything with a phyical analog element, it takes some practice to know how to move effectively. It some ways it's learning to ride a bicycle. What I found kind of ironic about my granddaughter taking to it so easily, was that she would resort to the keyboard and mouse for some things, such as entering characters. The on-screen keyboard is pretty good, and the handwritting recognition is good too, but it was easier for her to type "facebook" on the keyboard. I'll be looking into voice recognition soon.

Bye.

They state that they improved and added aot of features to the single input panels as well, yet you can't install it unless your screen is multi touch? That bums me out, mine is Touch but only single. Anybody know of any other Touch programs that are out there?
