More than 50 percent of all iPad users have a computer running some variant of Windows in their homes, according to data collected by advertising group Chitika. Windows XP was the most popular OS among iPad users (19.2 percent), followed closely by Windows 7, then Windows Vista. Windows 2000 brought up the rear. 62.95 percent of the group had a computer running Mac OS X.
My wife has a mac, I have a PC, just because she purchased the iPad (she didn't this is just an example) doesn't mean she uses Windows.
The IP addy is for each home and is understandable that there are alot with both.
How many homes in this study only had mac and no pc? 62-50 = 12%?
How many homes in this study only had PCand no Mac? 50-62= less than zero lol....
there are probably some people who have only windows who purchased the iPad, but I dont think this study is proving that unless they seperate the two and give a total of Windows-Only households that purchased the iPad

I have a iphone. Which is really a mini IPad. Would I ditch my Toshiba laptop that does everything including data recovery...from both PCs and Macs?
The only way I will have an IPad is if I am given one.
Sure they do alot of cool things...I know my phone does them as well. But my Win7 Ultimate X64 laptop does all of that too. And has a physical keyboard as well and gets viruses off of anything I throw at it.
Will a Ipad do that? I wish it would. In fact from what I can tell Ipads are still seriously hobbled by the lack of unlocking and jailbreaking ability. If I could not unlock my phone and get free reign over what is an isn't on it I would be useing a Blackberry.
Apple is the worse when it comes to DRM and while there are many who will diagree with all this I will never give up my wonderful laptop.

Edit: just saying its not specifically Apple that sucks here. its more-so the design concept and the functionality....Apple did break both its legs though before sending it out into the world.... which didn't help its adoption by PC'ers
Intel has thoroughly tested Windows 7 and has given it the green light for its own use. The company will begin replacing Windows XP on its machines next year.
