Are you getting that when you click the Shortcut?

This is what I get when I click it.

    My ideas for IE9

I love the idea of accelerators, just make more of them. Most of the accelerators available have absolutely no use to most of us. Also, they need to upgrade Web Slices. They should make it to where you can create your own Web Slice. For example, make a tool where you can put a box around what you want to see updated. Then make that into a Web Slice. Also, they should make it to where you can view two tabs at once. Since the introduction of Tabs, I've thought "It would be really cool to see an upgrade to be able to view two tabs at once." They also should continue to improve security and performance, of course, but not forget what draws a huge crowd: Visual effects.

I think the ability to have a different appearence (skins) would be nice, I also agree on the pausing downloads as well as the remember tabs from last session.

Login/password wand and Speed Dial like Opera and I might consider using IE again. Ever since I tried Opera, nothing beats it for me personally.
