    Microsoft unveils Windows Live Essentials Wave 4

    Microsoft has begun sharing more information on Windows Live Essentials Wave 4. In addition to Messenger, the company is now previewing Mail, Photo Gallery, Movie Maker, and Sync.

    This looks good. I had to dump Live mail because my iPhone wouldn't sync contacts with it. I know that is Apple being...well Apple, but still not real useful for me. I do like the fact that MS allows you download it and use it for free!

    Note: At the time of this writing, Windows Live Essentials wave 4 is in early beta and does not exhibit the performance or stability that one would expect from a final, shipping product.

    Thats their plan. I don't think they will release UNTIL it is stable and has decent performance.

    All the programs look great, but I love what they've done with Photo Gallery and Sync. It's about time Sync got a real UI, rather than being a context menu with settings...

    They used "Kitchen-PC" as a PC example for it. Ever since I've seen them doing that, like in the Windows setup for choosing a PC name and Kitchen-PC was an example, I've always thought "Who has a PC setup purely in the kitchen?".
