I haven't heard of this issue with 7/Server 2008 R2.

I think it does cure because i did apply it to myself a week ago after i encountered Black Screen at logon...

No real BlackSOD just that the system was hanging at logon screen. And sometimes looks the boot partition not to be recognize. Since, no problem so far.

Phone Man:From the article there is also a Hotfix available if you are have this particular problem, but is NOT recommended unless the problem is serious, since they are still testing the fix before it is released with SP1.
