Windows Live Essentials Beta due for release
-
Oh and those who have a netbook, be unhappy as the huge option box doesn't scroll or anything so "Enter and using arrows keys" Is the only way to go.
You'd think they'd want to make us happy.. >.> We bought there software they need to do something for us too.

Incidentally, does anyone know how stationery works in the Live Mail Beta?
-
In the Photo Gallery, when you group pics by Face Recognition (in the batch processing part), sometimes it looses the name of the person (you come back the next day and start up the PC, resume working on this, and you see some people in the name tags are gone!).
And when you merge two people (because of mispelled names or whatnot), it sometimes works, sometimes doesn't.
Not ready for primetime yet !

Which is why it's a public beta, NOT a general release.

Its a beta for a reason, that reason being they didn't feel it was ready to be released as a final product. You should submit feedback regarding any bugs/quirks you find with Windows Live Essentials.

Got their official mail today...Downloaded it though that was the final release, but it stayed at beta stage...Went smooth install and the first thing i saw was the messenger doesn't stay stuck in the taskbar when closed! Windows Live Mail Beta launch 3 seconds faster....appreciate the Calendar but it makes the windows reading mails smaller!
Buttons are HUGE!

During the brief install here it was also found a bit awkward with the inflexible window size which lists all contact catagories and any Live groups. The one thing you can do for those planning to keep this release on is keep submitting some feedback of any bugs or suggestions for improvement.

Do not have a feedback button...or is it hidding somewhere?
I'm not against telling them for those Huge buttons (even if i can reduce the ribbon), I do much respect legacy blinds, but as far as i know i'm 100% on both

I wasn't checking on the check box for helping improve the Live experience where anonymous feedback is sent during the installation unfortunately due to suddenly noticing an icon on the taskbar gone and other problems while the beta did seem to function normally for what it was.
The oversize buttons and lack of ability to resize the contacts window saw that removed as well as the other programs returned with a system image. Having just finished setting a temp install of Vista however it won't to have a second look since I may end up wiping that drive again anyways!

Rats! Doesn't support XP... I think.
Whenever I run the installer, something pops up saying that it's not a compatible 32 bit application. What the heck...
Is this a bug, or is it just not supporting XP?
