When the conservatives take office this fall i bet it will get shot down.

The 40% approval rating of our president and the 30% approval rating of our senate says it all...

That's just it though, no matter how hard we try, the conservatives WON'T take office this fall, because new Representatives and Senators don't take office until January. Meaning we have to hold this bill and others off for six months. Not going to be easy.

Can you imagine trying to receive or pay your bills for 4 months without Internet service? That's OK, though: Obama will take care of everyone's bills.

The point is,, bring Marxisim (or god forbid, Sharia) to everyone

    And

supposedly a panel to decide end-of-life care.
And yes,, there are Death Panels in that bill. Along with Rationing. Yes, they are actually one in the same.
It is unsustainable without Rationing and Death Panels. When someone can prove to me otherwise when 47% of Americans do not pay a single dime in taxes and of those a large majority actually get a bundle back? And you are going to sustain Socialised Health Care..
    Quoted for truth.

The federal government is getting scarier and scarier.

It recognizes NO limit on its power.

But this is a cyber-war right? In the interests of national security(cough), war is declared on just about anything and everything that doesn't suit the federal what ever they wish to title themselves. It is absolutely amazing that these terrorists get away with such blatant in ya face dictatorship then have the cheek to slag other countries off.

Gosh, I'm tired of these socialist retards attempting to destroy America. I am hoping and praying that more conservatives are voted into the senate this fall so they can put Obama in his place.

I think most countries like to try and "lock down" in the event of something really crucial happening.
A government would not want it's citizens either to panic or head to the cities to take sides in the civil war.
In the UK I think major events would immediately result in the closure of our air space, the military on all ports, airports etc and the shutting down of all conventional media.
There is 70% internet penetration in the UK but most of it is ADSL through one companies wires. Easily stopped. Cables to the valleys could be stopped so that just leaves satellite.
The government could certainly slow down information spreading but they couldn't stop it entirely.
As the internet continues to grow it is going to become much harder for governments to control it no matter what laws are bought in, as countries like China and North Korea are finding out.
I imagine that this scares governments of all colour and stripe.

You are right. Because with most politicians it is all about power and control, period. Power is an addicting and powerful aphrodisiac.

I worked for a member of Congress - this is the gospel truth. Unfortunately, I would substitute "most" with "virtually all." Even the guy I worked for I have lost respect for because he had promised 6 terms and that was it. He is in term #10 now, gearing up for #11. The only reason he is there is so he can step into a statewide office (gov, LtGov, AG) or U.S. Senate, or chair a House committee again.

    Pathetic.
