Thanks very much. Nvidia is on the ball.
techPowerUp!Since Microsoft kicked off its WHQL certification program for Windows 7, hardware vendors such as NVIDIA have taken serious initiatives to release new drivers that are certified to run with the new OS. Less than a week after releasing GeForce 185.85 WHQL drivers for Windows 7, NVIDIA today made nForce WHQL drivers official.
Nice! That surely will improve some things under the OS when I reinstall my PC at home with his nForce 680i chipset.
Thanks for the info! ^_^
I saw the driver update yesterday while doing updates on my Vista... nice to see that they are the official Win7 release.
Check with NVidia to see if these drivers are available for your motherboard - not all motherboards are catered for yet. For example, mine is a 6-series with integrated graphics, nForce 630a/GeForce 7050, but there aren't any drivers for that combination. There are, however, drivers for other models in the 6-series, e.g. nForce 630i/GeForce 7150. The same will probably apply to the other series, but I haven't checked.
I just installed these. I noticed 2 things... 1. nvidia gadget doesnt report temps of either vid nor mb. And I now notice what seems to be a border or rim on the edge of the "usuable viewing screen". Hadnt made any alignments of anykind, single monitor on the 6800gt. I would describe as the viewing areas seemed to shrink by maybe 1%... instead of 1280, it looks/feels like 1278 x 1022. weird, but then again, fresh beta drivers. yummy.
Hi all!! A information please...this driver resolve a probleman to enlarge desktop into games like Quake 3, that not suport widescreen mode like 1680x1050?? My monitor is a samsumg 2263uw, and not show fullscreen ...and on XP same problem...i hope that problem its resolving now with this "new" drivers...rsrsrsr!!! Best regards!!!!
