Windows 7 SP1 Final Drops in 2011

Microsoft might appear that is moving extremely fast with the development process of the first service pack for Windows 7, but fact of the matter is that the upgrade will not be offered to the public this year. The Redmond company started sharing details about Service Pack 1 for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 earlier this year.

Yeah that makes sense. Since there aren't really any huge issues to address.....they don't need to rush it. Might as well take some time and provide some real benefit (in terms of their being sufficient time for there to be a good size collection of hotfixes and security related tasks to roll up into one installable package.)

Virtually nothing new in this SP and we can't get it until '11? Ridiculous.

If there was new stuff aside from RemoteFX, I'd be more understanding.

As long as you are running Windows Update, you will essentially have all the fixes.
