Are you saying microsoft is giving up on money for good? Or just the 2007 version?

I don't think I ever knew anyone that used it. Perhaps the main reason they are ditching it is the economy. I would have thought they would try to compete in this market as well.

OneCare gone too? Not surprising. They may come back with something else, but that program wasn't all that good.

    2004 version

I have the 2004 version...will I still be able to use it? I just use it to balance my checking account...I don't link up to any banks or anything else

Impact on Other Online Financial Program

Is there any indication about the future of Accounting Express and Accounting Professional? These programs are similar to Money in that they integrate with banks so if Microsoft shuts down the integration for it, will these products be discontinued as well?

howied - your 2004 should work just fine. What is happening is MS is getting rid of programs/applications that are showing either low sales or no sales profit to developement and manufacturing. After the Commence Department turned down MS's go at acquiring Quicken back in the 90s Money has not done all that well. Encarta is another one that is going away 30, June.

Looks like OneCare has its replacement:

    And it is free.
