Must be really busy right now. All I get is the "error" screen after a bit when trying to bring up either download option.

EDIT:
Just got it.

So FTM only works in IE. Okay. I might have to turn that back on then.

Sounds good!

I just hope they don't go the way of so many other pieces of software and get so over ambitious. I hate it when something I've come to respect for it's simplicity, functionality and speed (and in this case it's almost TOTAL unobtrusiveness) gets bloated completly out of proportion and forces me to not use it any more.

I think the lack of those options made it too simple for more of all around protection. Should give it more popularity now as a plausible single protection solution I would think. Or at least, closer to it that it was before.

UPDATE: We are aware that some users are having issues downloading the Microsoft Security Essentials beta after signing into Microsoft Connect and we are working on resolving the issue. In the meantime, you can use the file transfer manager within Microsoft Connect to download the beta files. After logging into the Microsoft Connect site for the Microsoft Security Essentials beta, click ‘Download Microsoft Security Essentials Beta’, select the version of Microsoft Security Essentials beta that is right for you (32 or 64 bit), and then click the Download button (Download selected file(s) using FTM).

After about two hours of trying to download, finally succeeded with FTM. Once installation completed, checked for updates, ran initial scan, all appears to be working. Hope this beta works as flawlessly as the original Morro beta did last year.

Thanks for the post.

Just installed it, all running fine.

Like the new Grey & mesh background, hope it's not just for Beta purposes & will be present in the Stable release.

Liking all the new features.
