It doesn't support it, but you don't need it.
A Ht enabled Dual core would not perform as well as a real quad core processor, just for an example | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom Build #2 OS Windows 7 Ultimate 32-Bit CPU Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 O.C.'d to 2.80 GHz (For Now >:) ) Motherboard Gigabyte P43-ES3G Memory 4x1GB OCZ Dual Channel RAM Graphics Card HIS ATI Radeon HD 5770 1GB Sound Card Onboard Sound Monitor(s) Displays Asus VH-236 Screen Resolution 1920x1080 PSU Raidmax RX-630SS Case Apevia X-Dreamer Cooling Case: Arctic Cooling CPU:Rosewill RCX Z2 Hard Drives WD Caviar-Blue 250 GB SATA

Thanks, I guess I should either get a i7 core or a brand new i7 cpu with one of the latest nvidia graphics cards but moneys thight at the moment and when I find a spear £800~1,100 I'll buy one. But as for now I realy wan't to make the most of my hardware and windows vista has far to much cpu usage. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Gateway | GM5074b OS Microsoft 7 Ultimate CPU Intel Core 2due Processor E6320 Memory 2048 MB Dual Channel Graphics Card Nvidia Geforce 9500GT (Over Clocked) Sound Card StigmaTel High Definition Audio Codec Monitor(s) Displays Compaq FP 1706 Hard Drives 320 GB SATAII, 7200 RPM with 8MB Cache |

Intel® Desktop Board DG965OT — Technical product specification
Also from your first post, the motherboard does not support hyperthreading either. No mention of hyperthreading in specs for this motherboard. | My System Specs | | Computer type Laptop System Manufacturer/Model Number ASUS G60-RBBX05 OS Win7 Home Premium 64x CPU Intel Core 2 Duo P7450 / 2.13 GHz (2.29 with Extreme Turbo) Memory 4 GB PC-6400 Hyundai (2X2) at 800Mhz Graphics Card NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260M 1GB DDR3 VRAM Monitor(s) Displays 16" LED Backlit Screen Resolution 1366 x 768 on laptop 1600x1050 max res on 22" external mon Keyboard Chicklet type back-lit (white light) keyboard Mouse Logitech G9 Laser Mouse 3200dpi and 1000 reports per minute PSU 6-cell Lithium ion { lasts 1.5 hours } Case ASUS G60 Laptop Hard Drives OCZ Agility 3 60GB SSD / 320 GB - Serial ATA-150 - 7200 rpm Internet Speed Comcast 8.60mb/s up - 3.11mb/s down Antivirus MSE Browser Firefox Other Info General mid-budget gaming Comp. Yes, you should try to make the best out of what you have already.
Did you check if your bios supports the option to change the processor Clock speed or Front Side Bus? | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom Build #2 OS Windows 7 Ultimate 32-Bit CPU Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 O.C.'d to 2.80 GHz (For Now >:) ) Motherboard Gigabyte P43-ES3G Memory 4x1GB OCZ Dual Channel RAM Graphics Card HIS ATI Radeon HD 5770 1GB Sound Card Onboard Sound Monitor(s) Displays Asus VH-236 Screen Resolution 1920x1080 PSU Raidmax RX-630SS Case Apevia X-Dreamer Cooling Case: Arctic Cooling CPU:Rosewill RCX Z2 Hard Drives WD Caviar-Blue 250 GB SATA

Not as yet, but I am aware I can manually overclock the ram from boot up. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Gateway | GM5074b OS Microsoft 7 Ultimate CPU Intel Core 2due Processor E6320 Memory 2048 MB Dual Channel Graphics Card Nvidia Geforce 9500GT (Over Clocked) Sound Card StigmaTel High Definition Audio Codec Monitor(s) Displays Compaq FP 1706 Hard Drives 320 GB SATAII, 7200 RPM with 8MB Cache |

ok, just be sure you don't go too fast, because then you won't be able to boot your system. make it close to the rated speed (within 20-30 MHz should be ok, but take it in baby steps)
Also, is your windows 7 disc a burnt disc, or is it the actual microsoft retail disc? | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom Build #2 OS Windows 7 Ultimate 32-Bit CPU Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 O.C.'d to 2.80 GHz (For Now >:) ) Motherboard Gigabyte P43-ES3G Memory 4x1GB OCZ Dual Channel RAM Graphics Card HIS ATI Radeon HD 5770 1GB Sound Card Onboard Sound Monitor(s) Displays Asus VH-236 Screen Resolution 1920x1080 PSU Raidmax RX-630SS Case Apevia X-Dreamer Cooling Case: Arctic Cooling CPU:Rosewill RCX Z2 Hard Drives WD Caviar-Blue 250 GB SATA

that may be the problem. you might have to have him re burn the disc at a lower speed. if you burn a system disc too fast, some files can be corrupted. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom Build #2 OS Windows 7 Ultimate 32-Bit CPU Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 O.C.'d to 2.80 GHz (For Now >:) ) Motherboard Gigabyte P43-ES3G Memory 4x1GB OCZ Dual Channel RAM Graphics Card HIS ATI Radeon HD 5770 1GB Sound Card Onboard Sound Monitor(s) Displays Asus VH-236 Screen Resolution 1920x1080 PSU Raidmax RX-630SS Case Apevia X-Dreamer Cooling Case: Arctic Cooling CPU:Rosewill RCX Z2 Hard Drives WD Caviar-Blue 250 GB SATA
