overclocking doesnt work on 64b

Hello,
I had a Windows 7 32b, with overclocked e6750 to 3GHz and 3 gb ram 667mhz.
Then i added one additional giga to ram, and moved to win 7 64b.
but since the move, the overclocked is canceled (cpu works in his regular clock speed)
Why is that ? and is there any way to overclock it again ?

Thanks

How did you overclock it before?

if you overclock in the bios, you bypass windows completely.

or maybe the new ram can't handle the speed?

I can pretty much assure you if you used a program in the bios it probally reset the ram cause of new ram or the ram is not of the same speed or quality as the others that are along with it

ram you ussually want to get the same and most people swear by this method as well the venders list of ram that was made for the board getting the same ram and specified ram would eliminate crucial issues as dectecting which one is bad and going through series of testing

anyway if you did it on a windows program it still wouldn't hold cause you did a abrupt hardware change by adding more ram which will change your WEI and remapping ect

I would figure with any major changes to a system modifacations ect you will have to expect this and atleast test the product you are useing I would do some stress testing then go back to figuring out how to oc it properly but most likly the new ram offset the system and killed the oc cause it maybe had to clock it down

the problem was solved.
from some reasons, the overclocking settings in bios were initialized.
now it works again
