Laptops are poor candidates for overclocking. I can tell you from experience (dell inpirion here) that there isnt anything you can do,

well i know laptops are throttled for battery use and heating use. but they actually can go faster than there meant to. for instance my computer is 2.0ghz it can prolly run at 2.5-3.0ghz. i read that somewhere. but the graphics can be done somehow ill just keep looking

Yes it's possible. It is still stupid.

Laptops have very poor heat control, as well as decreased battery life.

I highly doubt you would get any sort of overclock on those graphics

'Integrated Intel GMA 4500MHD graphics' Absolutey NO point, I doubt you would get any sort of overclock or even decently stable to make it worth it while.

And as for CPU, well, since you have a Dell (Meaning a very locked down BIOS), i doubt, again, you would be able to overclock, i should'nt think you could hit 2.5Ghz, let alone 3.0Ghz.

And don't even think about using software inside Windows to overclock the CPU, it will just cause issues and probably instability.

Take it from us mate, i am not being horrible but please, save yourself the heartache. If you like gaming that much and want some decent performance, get a desktop or a gaming laptop.

It's a laptop...you want to O/C you kill it...given they are heat prone how exactly do you plan on cooling it? Dell don't even pretend to support O/C'ing so your warranties gone.

You want to play games you want a desktop PC not some mobile wannabe.

you might upgrade your HD to a fsrter drive. that would help a little. But as others have said laptops are not canidates for overclocking.

I have the exact computer and the knowledge to OC, but there is no way you are going to get 3.0 out of a 2.0 inspiron. The BIOS is LOCKED, there is no GPU card and, its the low end of the dual core line.

Trust me
