Windows 7: 120mm fan on Gigabyte Micro ATX

120mm fan on Gigabyte Micro ATX

Greetings,

Will this 120mm fan XIGMATEK Gaia SD1283 fit on this Gigabyte mobo? I ask because of the proximity of the CPU socket in relation to the DIMM sockets.

As long as you are using one of the following sockets.

AM3/AM2+AM2

And you have at least 160mm from the top of the CPU and side of your case it will fit fine.

Basically the heat sink is only as big as the socket it supports it shouldn’t take up much more room than a stock CPU fan its only taller.
