Issues Overclocking & Unlocking AMD Phenom II X2 550 Black Edition Ok, perhaps you guys can help with my last problem, i have succeffully unlocked my other 2 cores, but am having issues keeping it stable, upped the voltage to 1.5 (Max) and only got it at x15.5, with the other thing at 200 currently(which is factory defaults). But I am not able to keep it stable through a stress test. Seems to be running fine through idle, but crashes when anything uses a good amount of processor power and still can't get a stress test to run for over a minute, do i need to change the voltage on anything besides the CPU voltage such as the North/south bridge voltage?
Unlocked my other 2 processors by using ACC, changed the firmware to hybrid, and set it to auto.

First off, return it to stock voltage. Unlocking first, OCing next.
Now, go lock your fourth core and try to run Prime95 at stock speed. If it doesn't blue screen, you can probably conclude your fourth core is faulty. If it does, disable your third core and enable your fourth and try again. Ok i will do it now, i can overclock my comp to a multiplier of 19 and use prime9 for 24 hours perfectly fine, so I will check now if it's a specific core. | My System Specs | | |

Sadly, it is a bit of a gamble unlocking cores.
Although some do get lucky, others may not. They do lock them for a reason.

Seems that most of my issue was heat, i am stress testing atm with a multiplier of 17 and it has been running fine. Only been about 10 minutes, im going to see if heat is the issue, but it's hard to tell exactly because now that i unlocked the other 2 cores, i no longer can check my processor heat, so im checking motherboard heat and pretty much just guessing.
Update 1: wow unlocking those cores really making me fly through the stress test, almost doubling how fast it used to go. | My System Specs | | |

If heats your issue then upgrade your CPU cooler...if you don't want a truck size cooler then buy and fit a Corsair H60 Hydro Series review here Corsair H60 Water Cooling Kit Review - Overclockers Club
or the H70 (google it)
or what ever fits the socket  ...use decent HS paste like Artic Silver 5 (?).
