| | That didn't work either. Just the clarify: -I turned on the PC -pressed the DEL key to go into the BIOS setup -then pressed the clr CMOS button -and chose to 'save and exit' |

| | Ok, I re-did the clr CMOS process, following a guide here: How to clear the CMOS I started it up again and it came up with a new menu briefly, before doing the same windows repair failure. |

I too have a i7-950 on a Gigabyte board (X58A-UD5) And FYI - For my Gigabyte info needs I go to Tweak Town's GIGABYTE forum. Lots of good info. |

Will saving this fix the problem, or just make it worse? |
