Is this configuration good? I am buying a new PC this week so I wanted to ask is this configuration good for gaming?
Intel Core i5-2500
MB Foxconn-H67MP-V
4 GB DDR3 RAM
1000 GB (1 TB) HDD
nVida GeForce GTS450/2 GB
DVDRW
Also Is there nVida GeForce GT450/2 GB GPU because this is the PC which I want to buy and it says nVida GeForce GT450/2 GB or is there any mistake
Also I have Licensed Kaspersky 2012 so my question is, will I be available to use the license on this (older PC ) and the new one

Hi David , the specs look ok , graphics card is not amazing but will do on most games , not at high settings tho.
You have posted this thread in the "Overclocking and case mods" forum , If you were planning on overclocking the cpu in the future then you have chosen the wrong cpu and the wrong motherboard.
You may be aware of this already and have no plans to ever overclock but should you want to then you require the 2500k and a P67 motherboard.
Hope this helps a little.

The memory will probably be slower in the 2GB version - I expect DDR3 13323 MHz vs 1GB DDR5 at 2000 MHz. But still should be good. sorry but someone on this forum told me that P67 series are better than H67 series, is that true? Thanks you for your replys. Also Paul yes I want to overclock but my question is can 2500 (not K) be overclocked ? | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number David's Imperator OS Windows 7 x64 CPU Intel Core i5-2500 3.3 GHz Motherboard Foxconn-P67 Memory 4 GB DDR3 RAM Graphics Card Nvidia GeForce GTS 450 Sound Card Realtek HD Audio Monitor(s) Displays Philips 226VLA Screen Resolution 1920x1080 Hard Drives WD 1TB (1000GB) |

The 2500 has limited overclocking, up to 3.8 or 3.9 GHz.
A 2500K can get up past 5 GHz.
So if you plan on overclocking, go with the P67 board to support full overclocking.
I'm not sure if you can overclock on the H67 boards, but if so, it's very limited.
