Windows 7 - AMD Phenom II 1100T Realtemp Alternative.

First time ive done an AMD build and im looking for a software alternative like realtemp.

I want my temps to be actively monitored 24/7 and set TEMP alarms like I can in realtemp.

Any reccomendations?

AMD Core Temp is good as far as visual monitoring goes, but it doesn't have any temp alarms. SpeedFan does have alarm settings, but on my 1090T, some of the temp/voltages are screwball. Not sure, but I think that is because of my motherboard, rather than the CPU though.

Do you expect to have a heat problem? I would get your box setup, run Prime95 for awhile which will max it out and see where your temps get. If it's like me and you are nearly 20 degrees below thermal max....then you have nothing to worry about and 24x7 monitoring really isn't necessary. Plus technologies like Quiet'n'Cool and Speedstep will clock the CPU's down if they do manage to get too hot which will protect them.

Ended up just using the bios for my fail-safe. Saves me a running prog, and prob much more accurate than any sofware.
